Hi, it’s been a while! This past summer has been pretty insane. I have been bouncing back and forth between LA and Tokyo (for some sad family reasons as well as work) and I also have just launched something that has been in the works for a while: MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL!
While I have many ideas that I am working on for this channel, it will be (pretty obviously) majority food and travel related with an emphasis on Japan/Japanese things (I’m half Japanese, after all, so I figured I would focus on what I know best).
For my first video, I brought back a ton of snacks from Japan and rallied my friends Hugh (@hungryhugh) and Hikari (@hikarimurakami) to join me in trying all the food. From speciality Kit Kats to speciality Pocky, we tried so many unique treats.
More after the jump!
Here’s a list of items that were reviewed in the video:
KitKat – Strawberry Cheesecake (ストロベリチーズケーキ）
Gudetama – Custard Chocolate（くでたまカスタードチョコ）
Baskin Robbins – Popping Shower（ポッピングシャワー）
Pocky – Shinshu Kyoho（信州巨峰）
Pocky – Yubari Melon (夕張メロン)
KitKat – Hokkaido Melon（北海道メロン）
Bake – Creme Brulee（ベイククレームブリュレ)
Pocky – Brazilian Orange（ブラジリアンオレンジ)
Oreo – Matcha Chocolate Mini Bars（抹茶抹茶チョコレートミニバー)
Chinsuko Mix – Nuchimaasu, Beni-imo, Plain, Kurozato
Pocky – Crystal Salty（クレスタルソルティー）
KitKat – Premium Mint（プリメアムミント)
Cheetos – Uma Shio（うましお）
Also want to give a HUGE thank you to Jenny for filming, to Max for going above and beyond to help me in every way from every step of this video, and to everyone else for all the support they have given me.
I can’t wait to continue to make content with and for you all. <3
