Welcome to SYLVIA G EATERY!
I am not a good writer by any means. I work heavily in imagery (as a photographer) and straightforward type (as a talent manager) so posts that are heavy in writing are difficult and awkward for me. However, I wanted to give a proper intro into my passion project, #sylviageatery.
#sylviageatery started out sort of as a joke hashtag. It stemmed from my photography business name, Sylvia G Photography. From there people would just add on random things I did to Sylvia G and say it’s my new job (Sylvia G Management, Sylvia G Realty, etc.). The name and hashtag stuck.
I have always loved cooking and food. It stemmed from when I was younger as my parents let me cook along with them and as they got older and more busy, I ended up cooking a lot at home. Luckily, my mom and dad cooked all different types of food and we also traveled a lot when I was younger so I got to try all sorts of cuisines across the world. I continued to cook through college and post-college I cooked a ton while I was on the job hunt since I had a lot of free time and didn’t have a ton of extra money to be eating out all day long. After becoming an entrepreneur and owning my own businesses, it was harder to find time to do hobbies (like cooking) and I am finally trying to take time out of my insane schedule to do some things I really enjoy. I know this blog has been a long time coming and I appreciate all the enthusiasm and support that my friends and acquaintances have given me over the past couple of years to get this going.
I want to give a huge shoutout to FK for being a major taste tester. Not everything I make tastes delicious.
And I want to thank Yosuke of YSK Designs for being such a beast and making my gorgeous logos so quickly! He is a skilled and insanely sweet and fun person – everyone should hire him or at least go be his friend!
I am looking forward to all the growth that this blog will record as well as all the new opportunities that I hope will arise from this adventure.
Join me on this journey and leave me lots of comments on all of my platforms – it’s always more fun to eat when you have good company. 😉
